ASSISTANT BUYER
The Company :
Our client is an international chemical manufacturer. They have facilities and offices across the globe and are seeking a ASSISTANT BUYER who can join their Maintenance Team at their Pasadena, TX location.
This position is a TEMPORARY role, and the hourly rate will range from $22-26 / hr.
In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing, expediting, and following up on requests for supplies. The candidate selected for this role will provide administrative assistance to the Purchasing Team.
The Expectations :
The ASSISTANT Buyer will
- Interact with vendors to ensure on time deliveries, expedite items as required, inform requesters of pricing and delivery issues.
- Issue purchase orders based on PRs, ensures approved suppliers and negotiated pricing are applied
- Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
- Enter master data into SAP (new suppliers and supplier updates).
- Contact vendors for quotes as requested by internal customers.
- Work with accounting to solve problems with invoices.
- Maintain complete and open lines of communication with other personnel, function, or department to facilitate operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Experience :
- 2 years of Purchasing experience; REQUIRED
